The unmistakable instrument has beefed up hooky singles by radio queens like Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande, sexed up R&B jams from Jason Derulo and Ne-Yo, and helped skyrocketing girl groups Fifth Harmony and Little Mix make an unmissable entrance.
