UK producer Daniel Stein, better known to fans of drum'n'bass as DJ Fresh first hit it big in the late '90s as a member of Bad Company UK. One of the genre's most influential production crews, BCUK took drum'n'bass to a new level of speed and ferocity, setting the standard for much of the '00s. DJ Fresh's early solo efforts collected on his 2006 debut LP, Escape From Planet Monday combined BCUK's innovations with an infectious tendency towards bouncier beats and pop appeal. He was rewarded for his mainstream gestures with four Top 10 UK singles between 2011 and 2013.
