Dead Voices on Air Essentials

After leaving the highly influential industrial group Zoviet France, Mark Spybey struck out on his own in the improvisational ambient project Dead Voices on Air. His first full-length, '93's Abrader, was only released on cassette. After signing with Invisible, Spybey released his follow-up, Hafted Maul, in '95. In the next three years, he released an astonishing five more LPs, redolent with sinister and unnerving textures and unidentifiable instrumentation.
