Often compared to Elvis Presley and Roy Orbison, Chris Isaak's brand of vocal crooning is rooted in good old rock 'n' roll, classic country and rockabilly. His debut record, Silvertone, was released in 1985, but a 1989 soundtrack slot in David Lynch's Wild at Heart helped introduce the singer/songwriter to the masses. From there, he delicately balanced recording original material, touring and even acting, but never forgot the musical muses who helped forge his path, shown most notably throughout 2011's Sun Records-themed Beyond the Sun.
