Best of Windham Hill Records

The Windham Hill label became synonymous with New Age though its catalogue also includes folk and jazz. The label's co-founder, guitarist William Ackerman made its first release in 1976 and one of its flagship artists, pianist George Winston debuted in 1980. The nature-oriented album covers also became a trademark and it maintained a devoted audience until its purchase by BMG in the '90s.
