Best of U.K. Hardcore
Apple Music
Hardcore in the U.K. and the U.S. started around the same time and for the same reasons: The first wave of punk was ending and new adrenaline was needed. And as U.S. hardcore was a response to the Reagan years, the U.K. version struck back at Thatcherism: Discharge, The Exploited and G.B.H. were distinguished by their fast and grisly music along with their anti-authoritarian political stance.
