Sam Valenti IV grew up as an underage, underground Detroit techno producer dubbed DJ SpaceGhost. Upon meeting electronic artist Matthew Dear at the University of Michigan, Valenti founded Ghostly International in 1998. A forward-thinking, artist-driven label with a distinctive visual identity, Ghostly is home to acts as varied as Tycho, Gold Panda and School of Seven Bells.
