By the mid '70s, British prog had reached its peak in both popularity and musical sophistication. Of course, prog meant different things to different people. Strawbs and Genesis embody the symphonic side, Caravan and Hatfield & the North represent the whimsical, jazz-inflected Canterbury school and the music's more accessible side comes through in tracks by Supertramp, Roxy Music, and Camel.
