Born in Melbourne in 1980, Ben Frost began his experiments in sound with field recordings and processed acoustic guitar, but he didn't truly find his musical self until he emigrated to Iceland in the early ‘00s. While helping set up the label Bedroom Community, he hit upon a dense sound that made amazing use of his processed electric guitar and snaky, sinister beats. Frost's work has only gotten bigger and bolder since, culminating in 2014's A U R O R A, an immersive and emotional album inspired by his time spent documenting the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
