The “blind couple from Mali” have embarked, since the end of ‘90s, on a musical adventure that can hardly be matched. Touring both Africa and iconic pop-rock festivals around the world, they managed to add in their circle of collaborators stars like Damon Albarn, winning both critical acclaim and a younger audience. Their release Dimanche à Bamako includes both more traditional, heartfelt pieces and joyous ska-tinged rhythms, with the unmistakable touch of French Latin rock singer Manu Chao.
