Aaron Watson began his career as a Texas country-music secret. "July In Cheyenne", a moving tribute to the deceased bull rider Lane Frost, didn't chart nationally, but it was a smash hit in the Amarillo native's home state. Same for "Raise Your Bottle", a nostalgic, invigorating salute to the veterans "from Bunker Hill to Fallujah". The rest of the United States found out what it had been missing when Watson released "Outta Style" in 2016: Halfway between Eric Church and Rick Springfield, the song combines fiddle, handclaps and revving guitars, its lyrics making the claim that youthful exuberance doesn't have to end with age.
