In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I wrote my first verse when I was about 7/8 years old, I still remember it to this day! My brothers and I wanted to start a boy band back then 😅 I've always been fascinated by how sounds can illicit emotion, adding words to them became a superpower. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Drake, Nothing Was the Same Erykah Badu, Mama's Gun Frank Ocean, channel ORANGE First of all, I suck at making Top X lists – but these albums are by some of my biggest influences & inspirations, there's just boundaries each of these artists have pushed that has made me even more comfortable & confident in being myself on records What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I woke up one morning and my phone was blowing up. I had no clue what was going on, I quickly checked to see the news that Black Coffee had won a Grammy – I watched the acceptance speech and it turned out that he gave me a shoutout on stage! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? First item on my list is to become a full-time artist and live off my craft, then I want to travel the world and create music inspired by all the beautiful cultures and people. My ultimate goal is to find ways to improve the lives of many Africans
