In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first music inspiration came from when my older brother left a Michael Jackson and 2Pac cassettes under my pillow while I was sleeping. Hence my versatility when it comes to the music I create. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? 2Pac, Me Against the World 50 Cent, Get Rich or Die Tryin Michael Jackson, HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I These are the albums that got me to start writing my own music. HipHop and RnB basically describes my kind of sound. Of course, not forgetting gospel and Kwaito music from my home country South Africa. The music resonates with a lot of people and the music video epitomizes my music as an artform. I push boundaries, I make people uncomfortable with the content and visuals. Thula was and is still a fan favorite. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my memorable moments was when I got an opportunity to work with 3 Time Grammy Award winning Reggae band, Morgan Heritage on their recent album titled The Homeland on a song titled U Got To See (The world). The song was considered for a Grammy. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd love to work on some music with the likes of Chris Brown, Rema, Tyla, Kabza De Small just to name a few. To perform on world stages and do tours across the globe.
