In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Cao was raised by two electrical engineers brought up in China; they helped spark his fascination with electronic music at a very early age. Andy Stott, Faith In Strangers Boards of Canada, Music Has the Right to Children I've always loved moody atmospheric tunes that evoke another world. Tell us why you chose this song. “Absence (缺席)” I'm really proud of this song, I think it captures a really complex sonic sadness that is dreamy and psychedelic. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing a Live A/V show at LACMA and just releasing music I'm very proud of. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Continue working on new music, collaborating with and remixing other artists.
