Nordwand, a German pop group from Styria, Austria with a boy band style and schlager material, feature Wolfi Birnstingl (vocals), Thomas Strizek (guitar), Chris Kreiner (bass), Wolfgang Nadrag (drums, guitar), and Chry Dietrich (keyboards). The band's debut album, Es Macht Boom, arrived on the Watts Music label in 2005, and second album Nichts Haut Mich Um followed later that year. The band's third album, 2007's Frauen Sind Wie Sterne, was a breakout effort, reaching number 43 on the Austrian albums chart and spawning a pair of singles. Nordwand's next album, So Nah, was released by Sony Music in 2009 and became a Top Ten hit on the Austrian albums chart.
