In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of the earliest memories I have is writing my first verse at 14 over some random beat CD that I found, the rest is history. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frank Ocean, Blonde Lupe Fiasco, Lupe Fiasco's The Cool USHER, Confessions (Expanded Edition) “The Cool” album has a tremendous impact on how I create music. It taught me how to write metaphors and concepts. “Confessions” is my favorite R&B album of all time. It’s also the first album I bought with my own money. “Blonde” saved my life. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Self” I wrote this song when I was in a bad place emotionally and it’s essentially a letter to my “Self” reminding me that everything will be okay. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I’ve been signed twice in my life and I’m grateful for all the opportunities and people I’ve met on this journey, but witnessing my own growth as a person and creatively knowing how far I’ve come has been the most rewarding. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’d love to go on tour and record a live album, as well as leave my imprint musically by creating music that’s true to me and touches other.
