In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The piano became my brother/sister when I was young. An only child, so I ended up playing it all the time at home by myself and just making things up on the spot. It was my safe space to escape. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Coldplay, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends Jordan Rakei, Cloak Taylor McFerrin, Early Riser 1. Early Riser - Taylor McFerrin (this album makes me feel like I’m running on clouds) 2. Cloak - Jordan Rakei (colourful! That’s how I’d describe this album.) 3. Viva La Vida - Coldplay (my all time fave band) What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Accompanying TEEKS on the grand piano with the NZSO for three shows in Wellington. Have done a lot of orchestral shows playing for others, but this one was special. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? One thing on my bucket list is definitely to arrange my own music to perform with the NZSO. Would love to record an album with them too. Writing music for films & TV is also on the cards too.
