Laddi Chahal

About Laddi Chahal

Laddi Chahal is the lyricist, singer and composer behind statement-making Punjabi songs by the likes of Diljit Dosanjh and Parmish Verma, as well as his own compelling repertoire. Introduced to the music industry through Verma, his friend and mentor, Chahal made his mark with the jaunty “Chirri Udd Kaa Udd”—with Verma on vocals—in 2018, drawing comparisons between spiritual and material wealth in its lyrics. After his singing debut on the 2019 friendship song “Habit" with Verma and producers Desi Crew, Chahal was firmly in demand. He penned the playful love song “Track Suit” (featuring Nimrat Khaira) for Dosanjh, and the more party-orientated “Whiskey” from the Punjabi star’s album G.O.A.T. in 2020. Notching up some film tunes along the way, Chahal also released a formative EP, Forever, in 2022 that showcases his range in Punjabi pop and hip-hop across six songs. He also gives voice to rural youth—taking on a motivational role with “Kheti”, a 2023 song for farmers that he sang, wrote and composed.
