New Zealand singer Janine specializes in sultry vocals, lyrical honesty and a genre-blending mix of R&B, pop, indie and hip-hop. • Born in Auckland, Janine got her start singing at open-mic nights when she was 14. • She began her career under the name Janine and the Mixtape but ditched that moniker as a testament to her artistic growth. • Janine’s 2014 debut EP, Dark Mind, includes the single “Hold Me”, featuring Pusha T.
