Dan Cuetara (guitar/vocals) and Tom Healey (guitar/vocals) are not only two key songwriters of Beat Soup, but they are also the only original members. Even though they've had constant lineup changes since their 1992 beginnings, their style of reggae and two tone influenced ska has remained as their live set includes covers that range from the Specials to Bob Marley to the English Beat. After the release of their 1997 debut album Start From Scratch (No Clue Records), the lineup settled with Art Cohen (bass), John Deane (trumpet), John Jackson (drums), and Karl Schneider (trombone) two years later. By 2001, No Clue Record followed up with Beat Soup's second album, Miriam Your Toast Is Burning, in 2001. ~ Mike DaRonco
