5 Songs, 16 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

In time, Sheeran and songwriter Amy Wadge would pen the GRAMMY®-winning “Thinking Out Loud” and their chemistry fires instantly on these five tracks from their first writing session together. It’s most audible on “Fall”, where their vocals dovetail gently over a slow-burning melody. The songs tend toward lovestruck balladry rather than the hip-hop influenced mega-hits to come but Sheeran’s talent is already obvious in lines such as “She’s endless to me/She’s just like paperwork but harder to read” (“She”).
