R.O.O.T.S.

Don't let the title fool you: There's nothing rootsy or old-school about Flo Rida's second collection of club-rap party-starters. Even the title track, which finds Flo reminiscing on growing up in Carol City, floats on tough, billowing synths and nimble trap drums. "Right Round", meanwhile, stomps onto the dance floor with Atari synths and an earworm hook sung by a pre-fame Kesha, and the Nelly Furtado-featuring "Jump" even uses EDM-style percussion to build to a speaker-rattling refrain.
