Perfecting the art of hooliganism, Los Nikis built their entire musical career as a sort of private joke. To this day, there are still those who do not know how to take it. Vindicated by some and denigrated by many others, the Algete band portrayed the anodyne experience of mediocrity with poorly tuned guitars, unbridled energy and delirious, ironic lyrics aimed at everything and everyone. Centred halfway between the punk of their beloved Ramones and new wave, their unclassifiable formula has been repeatedly imitated but never duplicated, probably because no one knew how to take the idea of not taking anything seriously as seriously as they did.
