About Sharks Deli

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember listening to Joey Badass's 1999 for the first time. It sent me down the rabbit hole of 90s Hip Hop and introduced to my favorite lofi artist and the pioneer of all this, J Dilla. Becoming such a fan made me want to start making beats. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? J Dilla, Donuts Joey Bada$$, 1999 Pete Rock, PeteStrumentals These three albums greatly shaped the sonic structure of the beats I make today. Every time I open up Logic my goal is get my drums to sound as smooth and buttery as Dilla and Pete. Those guys will forever be my idols. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sugar Loaf Drive” Man this song means so much to me. I was at a point where I had slowed down on making beats everyday, but for some reason had wanted to put this out. Seeing the reaction it got when it came out gave me the spark I needed to keep being creative. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments in my career so far is seeing the outreach of love on social media. It's awesome to see your music translate and impact others in a positive way. Creativity knows no bounds when it comes to impact. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to start doing live mixes and shows in the future. I also would love to start producing more tracks for other artists and add vocals here and there. Maybe even executively produce an album or two.
