Beginning with her irrepressible 1998 debut, First Album, Taiwanese singer Yuki Hsu has been growing up in the public spotlight. Her early hook-filled dance tracks saw her posturing as a precocious kid. Later on, her music took on more mature tones, oscillating between electro-pop innocence and ruminations on "bad girl" behaviour. In between lay novel reimaginings of American pop hits, duets with Asian rappers and wistful ballads.
