The outer reaches of The Flaming Lips' expansive catalogue contains some of the band's most adventurous creations. "It Overtakes Me" morphs from a hard-boiled psych-rock rave-up into a floating ambient daydream. Their early track "Shine On Sweet Jesus" stirs primitive vocals into its lo-fi indie freak-out. And the sprawling "Can't Let It Go" is a zoned-out space-rock dirge enlightened by vintage synth ostinatos and frazzled clouds of noise.
