The Faint Essentials

The Faint Essentials

Even though they were formed by friends from the Omaha circle that gave birth to the Saddle Creek Records family, The Faint's new wave sound has little in common with their fellow Creekers. Mixing post-punk, dance rock and experimental synth-pop in their early releases, The Faint found an unlikely muse in death metal guitarist Dapose for 2001's Danse Macabre—an LP that built a fan base for the band's infectious sound. Outside of the studio they've gained a reputation as a fiery act on the live circuit.
