For the first 15 years of his career, Morten Abel formed and fronted the bands Mods, Peltz and The September When. It was only in 1997 that he struck out on his own and released his first solo LP. Since then he's become one of Norway's best-selling artists and, now in his 50s, he's shown no signs of slowing down. Equally likely to rap his lyrics as he is to croon them over snaking indie rock, and with a collection of songs that are playful and heartfelt—sometimes both at once—he's a real emotional chameleon.
