Cheff Records Essentials

Formed in Copenhagen in 2011, Cheff Records has an eye for trailblazing, genre-defying artists emerging from Denmark's hip-hop scene. Rising star Klumben provides playful reggae-infused tracks and melodic rhymes; on the flip-side Sukker Lyn trades in aggressive, bombastic avant-rap, walking a similar line to South Africa's Die Antwoord. Meanwhile, TopGunn (one of the label's founders) brings dancehall and dub influences into his smooth R&B—his half-sung, half-rapped Auto-Tuned vocal hooks sitting perfectly over glossy, synth-led productions.
