Savannah, Georgia, must be one heavy place. This sludge trio formed in 2005 and quickly found a sound worthy of local forebears Baroness and Kylesa. These guys lock into some seriously stoney riffs, but they can also break from the groove with high-energy flourishes that send you racing. Andrew Fidler's severe, throaty screams reach hardcore-level intensity, combining with ominous bass and furious drums to form a sound the band has aptly termed "swamp metal."
