Baauer captivated the world with his 2012 single “Harlem Shake”, delivering a drop so rowdy that it spawned a viral internet phenomenon and, with its No 3 chart placing, the idea that memes could make hits. The electronic producer (born Harry Bauer Rodrigues in 1989) has since shown himself to be sonically versatile, warping genres like hip-hop, R&B, trap and Baltimore club on his first album, 2016’s Aa, while also collaborating with rap heavyweights Pusha T and Future, K-pop star G-Dragon and Essex singer-songwriter Tirzah.
