About Vov Dylan

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest memory is from when I was around 2 years old where I was taken to see my father (also a Violinist) performing in a Dance Band - and I recall falling absolutely in love with the genre! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dick Van Dyke, Irwin Kostal, Julie Andrews, Richard M. Sherman, Robert B. Sherman, The Sherman Brothers, Mary Poppins (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Fred Astaire, Fred Astaire: Standards Nat "King" Cole, Penthouse Serenade Deluxe Edition FA was myl idol as growing up. This album is timeless. NKC's album showcases how to do the standards where you can hear the words, while not needing to sing them. MP was the first album my daughter kept asking me to play on repeat. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Three Duets for Two Violins and Piano Op. 97d: I. Prelude” This track holds special sentimentality as it was the first time that my father Evan Elsley and I recorded together. It is something I can proudly show to future generations. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing music has opened the door for me as a teacher. One time I went to Accra in Ghana and helped create the first Youth Sinfonietta there with "Keys Of Change". This was a chance to actually make a positive difference in young peoples lives. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My biggest desire for the future is more varied collaborations with musicians from multiple genres across the globe.
