About Steve Larkman

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was 10 years old when I heard Beatles 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand' on an old record player. The sounds of the guitars, drums and voices changed my life forever. It was then I decided that, for better or worse, I would become a musician and songwriter. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? David Bowie, Station to Station Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Remix) These 3 albums charted my life growing up and were in part a soundtrack to my life. If I were to choose more I would include Bob Dylan's first record for Columbia, Roxy Music's 'Stranded' and other albums by Bowie, Deep Purple, Oasis and Sabbath. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Yesterday's Dreams” My recent release is 'Yesterday's Dreams' (6 Jan. 2023) and I love it for it's rockiness and hint of Neil Young who's a favourite of mine. The drums are samples and I played the guitars 'Live' which I think always lends a fresh 'edge' to the results. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I produced records for Virgin and EMI alongside David Bowie guitarist /musician Mick Ronson in Angel Studios on a project for Simon Townshend's band Moving Target. Simon is the brother of The Who guitarist Pete Townshend. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My dream is to achieve hit records and worldwide listenership with my so far 44 single and 7 Album releases. (All on Apple Music).
