About Stan Freberg
Stan Freberg is a satirist who experienced great popularity during the early 1950s with his musical send-ups of soap operas, Christmas songs, and the DRAGNET TV show, and his parodic covers of "Heartbreak Hotel" and other hits of the day. His influence was wide-ranging, not just on other comedians but on radio DJs and advertising creatives (he was a successful and inventive producer of TV ads), and he has remained a creative force through the '00s. In 1995 he was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame.
