About Session A9
Formed by Capercaillie fiddler Charlie McKerron as an "album project", this four-fiddler experience had staying power, and became a full-time endeavour for all involved. Named after the highway that connects Glasgow and Inverness, Session A9 -- fiddlers Charlie McKerron, Adam Sutherland, Gordon Gunn, and Kevin Henderson, guitarist Tim Edey, keyboardist Brian McAlpine, and Iain Copeland on drums -- released their first album, What Road? in 2005. Their follow-up, Bottlenecks and Armbreakers, released a couple of years later, was followed by a British tour. ~ Chris True
