In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Most involve my parents. My mom has a beautiful voice. She would sing 3-part harmony with 2 of her sisters when they were together. My dad has an amazing sense of rhythm and was a great dancer. He took me to my first concert (Kiss) when I was 8! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Low, HEY WHAT Portishead, Dummy The Innocence Mission, Glow (Reissue) These records are all a perfect combination of stunning lyrics, melodies, music, and production. Each one has had a profound impact on me as a person and artist. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “2000 Feet” One of those lyrics that seemed to be given to me as a gift. It's a truly honest look at long term, deep, committed love. After 22 years of marriage we’ve loved well and we’ve hurt each other deeply, but I am more in love today than ever before. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The day my record, “All Around My Head,” came out was very special. It's the first time I was able to share a collection of songs that were recorded exactly the way I wanted. The record is more honest and more "me" than anything I have ever done. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? It would be an absolute dream to sing background vocals on a Peter Gabriel song.
