David Joseph was the keyboardist and at times de facto leader of Hi-Tension, a late-'70s disco outfit whose hits such as the "British Hustle" were largely confined to the United Kingdom. Joseph left the band in 1984, a year after releasing a solo album on Island Records. ~ Eugene Chadbourne
