The co-founder of the historical performance ensemble La Rêveuse, lutenist and theorbist Benjamin Perrot has also appeared with Ensemble Vocal Sagittarius, Le Poème Harmonique, and other early music groups. With La Rêveuse, he has accumulated a large recording catalog over two decades. Perrot made his recording debut as a theorbist in 2002 on a Le Concert Spirituel album devoted to Marc-Antoine Charpentier's Leçons de Ténèbres. The year 2004 saw the founding of the ensemble La Rêveuse by Perrot and viola da gamba player Florence Bolton. Both musicians retained leadership of the group as of the early 2020s. In 2023, La Rêveuse released the album Le Concert des Oiseaux. Perrot is on the faculty at the Conservatoire de Versailles and is a vocal coach at the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles.
