Editors' Notes For a band born out of stoner-rock pioneers Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age have built a pretty diverse repertoire. Credit frontman Josh Homme, whose determination to take their idiosyncratic Palm Desert sound to the mainstream has seen him team up with a wide range of musicians, from Dave Grohl on Songs For the Deaf to Elton John on ...Like Clockwork. Thanks to the band's constantly changing lineup, Queens have stayed restless and ambitious over the years, adding new wrinkles like dance beats and dark fairytale imagery to their inimitable foundation of hard rock.
