Johnny McDaid: The Songwriters

Johnny McDaid had his music-business breakthrough as a member of the soft-alt-rock act Snow Patrol in the 2000s. But a glance at his songwriting credits shows his versatility. McDaid is best known for his work with his close pal Ed Sheeran, like the spare come-on “Shape of You” and the shimmering “Bad Habits”, but he’s also helped craft Keith Urban’s country-soul jam “Parallel Line” and Alicia Keys’ pulsing, hopeful “Authors of Forever”.
