Dutch singer and former football (soccer) player, Henk Damen was born in 'S-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands in 1980. By age 16, Damen had joined FC Den Bosch. He played football for the club for two seasons before deciding to focus on a singing career. He released his debut album, Zomerliefde, in 2002 and followed it with Liefde Is... in 2003, Helemaal Verliefd in 2006, Laat Mij Alleen in 2009, and a best-of compilation in 2011. In 2013, Damen returned with Vandaag Begint M'n Leven. ~ Matt Collar
