Sipho Gumede Essentials

Sipho Gumede grew up playing a homemade guitar made from an oil tin and a length of wood, which was then strung with fish gut. He recorded with artists like Abdullah Ibrahim, Kippie Moeketsi and Brenda Fassie, in a career that spanned more than 20 albums and through various projects played extensively in Africa, Europe and North America, from Finland to the Bahamas. His warm bass tones were infused with a sense of nostalgia and his fingers danced along the fret board. So whether you're driving down the highway or whiling away the weekend, feed your soul with the musical legacy of a legend.
