About Jan

Mexican Latin pop singer Jan (born Gustavo Cárdenas Avila) began singing at the age of 14 along with friends in his native Celaya, soon moving to the U.S. to study music. When Jan returned to Mexico, he joined a local band called Sombras. In 1996, after performing in a popular TV show called Siempre En Domingo, the young artist had the opportunity to sign up to PolyGram, making his debut in 1997 with a self-titled album, followed by Acariciame El Alma. In addition, Jan became a Latin soap opera star after participating in Soñadoras, DKDA, Mi Destino Eres Tú, and La Intrusa. ~ Drago Bonacich
