About The Dove Shack
Long Beach, California G-funk group the Dove Shack consisted of Bo-Roc, C-Knight, and 2Scoops. The trio introduced themselves in 1994 with "This Is the Shack," a track on Warren G's Regulate...G Funk Era that showcased their knack for hard verses and melodic choruses over laid-back, funk-laced productions. An album, also titled This Is the Shack, was released through RAL (Rush Associated Labels) in August 1995 and peaked at number 68 on the Billboard 200, with "Summertime in the LBC" easily its most successful single. After that, less was heard from the group. They released a second album, Reality Has Got Me Tied Up, in 2006.~ Andy Kellman
