About Q-Port
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a 5-year-old boy, I listened to Johnny Cash on a small portable cassette recorder. It was the song “The Ring of Fire” and as soon as it ended, I rewound the tape and played it again. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? David Darling, Jon Christensen, Ketil Bjørnstad, Terje Rypdal, The Sea Deep Forest, Boheme Oscar Peterson, Freedom Song: The Oscar Peterson Big 4 In Japan '82 These 3 albums have shaped my music since the early '90s. I draw inspiration from classical, jazz, blues, and world music—each genre offers beauty and creative energy that drives me to create and express myself musically. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Water of Love” "Water of Love" began as a live performance using my "Real-Time Composing" method for electronic improvisation. From those early fragments, I've now created a more refined and engaging version of the piece. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My most memorable moment in my career was receiving 3 awards from film festivals for best soundtrack for the music I composed and produced for the movie “When the Woodlark sings”. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To collaborate with a visual artist for an audio-visual experience (live or recorded). To create music using only field recordings and found sound. To perform an improvised live set with other electronic musicians.
