Singer and actress Katie Thompson debuted the role of Sariah on Michael McLean and Kevin Kelly's 1998 release of The Ark . But she began her career early in her life, just shy of five years. She started out with her father's band with a performance at an elementary school in Provo, UT. Then she studied drama and music at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Pasadena, CA. She met McLean's son Scott while they were students there. He introduced her to his father, and her career was successfully launched. Her voice is a rich alto, but she's capable of quite a broad range. Her voice is featured on McLean's 1999 release Safe Harbors. ~ Dacia A. Blodgett-Williams
