A classical crossover star, soprano Jackie Evancho went from vocal wunderkind to pop sensation after finishing in second place on the fifth season of America's Got Talent. The Pennsylvania native began taking vocal lessons in 2008 at the age of eight, and had already competed in several local talent contests when she grabbed the attention of producer David Foster, who featured her in concert. However, it was after America's Got Talent in 2010 that her career took off. Her debut, Prelude to a Dream, rose to number two on the Billboard charts, a feat she repeated with her follow-up, the holiday-themed O Holy Night.
