Hezekiah Walker

Gospel artist Hezekiah Walker is often called the Hip-Hop Pastor, due to select attendees of his Love Fellowship Tabernacle megachurch, including Lil’ Kim and Diddy. ∙ The Love Fellowship Crusade Choir, his first gospel group, was formed in 1985, when he was serving as a Pentecostal minister. ∙ Love Is Live! earned Walker his second Grammy Award for Best Gospel Choir or Chorus Album in 2001. ∙ He has won two Dove Awards—in 2014 for “Every Praise” and in 2016 for “Better.” ∙ In 2014, Walker’s worship anthem “Every Praise” began a 75-week run on the Hot Gospel Songs chart, 25 of which were at No. 1. ∙ Walker launched a gospel choir label, HezHouse Entertainment, in 2018, signing Vincent Bohanan & SOV and Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling as its first artists. ∙ His Platinum-certified “Every Praise” was named Gospel Song of the Decade by Billboard in 2019.
