In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember hearing my late uncle blasting Murder She Wrote back in my parents house. My mom played lots of fuji & juju too. I didn’t understand the lyrics, but I felt the emotion. I started mimicking the melodies as a baby using my own made up words. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Burna Boy, Twice As Tall M.I Abaga, MI 2: The Movie MAGIC!, Don't Kill the Magic MI2 pushed the limits of my pen. Don’t Kill the Magic made me value groove and songwriting with the project's cohesiveness & solid instrumentation. And Twice As Tall? It reminded me that you can be bold, African and global from a small place. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I think working on my debut EP - "Maybe A Little Longer" overall is the most memorable period of my career so far. The highs, the lows, the stress, the excitements etc. The journey is beautiful. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm just getting started. I want to perform at the World Cup final, tour the world with my band - The Long Road Band and watch my fans #OffTheGrid from across the globe scream in excitement. Most importantly, I want my music to live forever.
