Ebenezer is a London-born songwriter, producer, and vocalist who melds R&B, pop, and contemporary rap styles like trap and drill. His honest, searching lyrics express his thoughts on religion (2018's 53 Sundays) and relationships (the Bad Romantic series), as well as his continuous struggle for success. Aside from his own work, he's worked with numerous pop, hip-hop, and dance artists including Stefflon Don, Ty Dolla $ign, Duke Dumont, and SuperM. Ebenezer Fabiyi, the son of Nigerian parents, grew up in Hackney before moving to North London. While his parents wanted him to enter university, he decided to pursue music instead. He co-wrote songs for artists like Craig David and Nabiha before making a guest appearance on ADP's single "No Good for Me," additionally featuring Jeremih. Ebenezer made his solo debut with the single "Cliché," written about his desire to express personal feelings with his music rather than write about materialism. Additional singles like "Ask Around" and "Survival" followed, and debut EP Bad Romantic appeared in early 2018. Ebenezer was featured on house producer Duke Dumont's single "Inhale" and Fakear's album All Glows. "When I Call Em," a single featuring A Boogie wit da Hoodie, preceded Ebenezer's first full-length, 53 Sundays, a conceptual release about his questioning of faith. After working with Michael Calfan and K-pop group SuperM in 2019, the Los Angeles-based Ebenezer resumed issuing solo material in 2020, releasing the Bad Romantic II and 2.5 EPs, as well as singles like "Flaws and All" (including a Lil Durk remix) and "3am in LA" (featuring Stefflon Don). ~ Paul Simpson
